Sint Maarten has a Dutch side and a French side. It is an incredibly cosmopolitan island providing a great night life and a choice of beautiful beaches and anchorages. An excellent departure base to book a boat and visit Saint Barth, the BVI, Saint Kitts, Nevis, Anguilla. Marigot, the capital of the French side, is famous for its restaurants and boutiques. Duty free shopping and casinos are in Philipsburg, the capital of the Dutch side. To discover the island, many different anchorages are available such as Orient Bay, Tintamarre and marinas (Fort Louis, Oyster Pond…).
